After a flurry of extensions and roster movements, the Eagles have re-signed Julian Vandervelde to take the final spot on the teams roster.
Vandervelde steps in for the injured David Molk who was placed on IR following torn biceps. The Offensive Lineman is yet again brought back to the city of brotherly love after being waived during this years cuts. The Eagles had problems on the Offensive Line against the Falcons so all help is good help. Vandervelde was picked up in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft and has been on and off the team ever since. The Eagles just can’t seem to stay away from Vandervelde.
We caught up with Julian just before the season started in an EXCLUSIVE interview. It’s great to see him back on the roster and you can read the entire interview here: https://phillysportsnetwork.com/2015/06/18/eagles-guard-ready-to-win-the-fuking-super-bowl-julian-vandervelde-interview/
Another minor move saw tight end Connor Hamlett called up to the practice squad. The 6-foot-7 tight end went undrafted and was signed by the Jaguars before being waived. He played football for Oregon and was the fifth tight end in team history to have over 1,000 receiving yards. He also sits third in most receptions for the Beavers with 104.
