Rookie Eagles cornerback suffers leg injury

First it was Travis Long and then Kiko Alonso. Bad things always seem to happen in threes and for the Philadelphia Eagles, this is no exception. Rookie cornerback JaCorey Shepherd was carted out of Lincoln Financial field with what appears to be a suffered right leg injury.

There have been no updates on the severity of the injury but Shepherd appeared to be moving the leg whilst on the cart, a promising sign at least.

Shepherd made huge contact with established running back Darren Sproles and was carted off the field shortly after. Luckily for the birds, there is plenty of depth at the CB position but it was Shepherd who was favourite to replace the recently traded Brandon Boykin. Hopefully the injury isn’t severe and we will see Shepherd in midnight green come the first pre-season game.
