This year’s Superbowl Winners the New England Patriots have reportedly signed free agent and ex Philadelphia Eagle Bradley Fletcher.
The Patriots who sold Revis at the start of free agency have been arguably quiet compared to the Birds in this Free Agency window but now look to have picked up Fletcher who made 116 tackles over his two season spell at the Eagles.
Fletcher is coming off a tough year in Philly that saw him move down the depth chart after constantly being outrun by wideouts in the second half of the regular season. He started in 28 games over the last two seasons, but will more than likely find himself fighting for a spot in New England.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom however. Fletcher led the team with 26 forced incompletions and also returned a 34 yard touchdown from a Cam Newton interception during the Eagles’ decisive win over Carolina. Fletcher is one of those players who have shown glimmers of hope beneath two years of mediocrity. With Chip Kelly still far from complete in his Free Agency moves, it will remain to be seen how he goes about filling the many cracks that the Eagles appear to have.
