The Philadelphia Eagles have reached an agreement on a one-year contract with former Giants and teammate of Byron Maxwell, Walter Thurmond, the team announced earlier today.
Thurmond becomes the 10th former Oregon Ducks player to be brought into the nest as Chip Kelly now has control over all personnel changes.Thurmond will be reunited with Maxwell, who signed a six-year contract worth as much as $63 million. We predicted earlier in the week that the Eagles would need to sign at least two CB’s, is this the last signing for this position or will there be even more action as Free Agency unfolds further.
Thurmond was a vital spoke on the wheel in the Seahawks’ 2013 team that won Super Bowl XLVIII. Last offseason, he decided to take a one-year deal in order to prove himself away from Seattle and try to cash in this offseason. After picking up an injury and only starting two games last season, It looks like he may have a second chance under Kelly.
