After an uneventful offseason for the Philadelphia Flyers, news broke yesterday that Tyson Foerster would be likely ready to start the 2025-2026 Season, according to Flyers GM Danny Briere.
Tyson Foerster set to return to the Flyers
There was news earlier about an elbow injury and subsequent infection and that the 23-year-old could miss some time in the upcoming season. The biggest question was about who could potentially fill the gap without Foerster. While the Flyers made a few offseason signings, the value of the winger would be missed on the ice regardless of who stepped up.
Last season, the Canadian winger posted a career high with 43 points with 25 goals and 18 assists. Foerster went on to represent team Canada at the IIHF World Championship, which is where he suffered the elbow injury. While rumors were circulating on social media for a bit, it was confirmed about a month later.

Luckily, it seems like Foerster is healing at a speedy rate. The 23-year-old brings a lot of value to the team, which is needed as the Flyers are recentering their focus to be a younger team. While there is still over a month until training camp begins, this is a great update from the General Manager.
