After a long weekend of picks and trades, the Eagles might finally be done. Day 3 has presented the Birds with some very interesting scenarios and some exciting young talents to develop for the future. Here’s all you need to know about the picks from round 6 and 7.
Pick 181: QB, Tyler McCord, Syracuse
With the 181st pick in the NFL Draft, the Birds added to their QB factory by selecting Tyler McCord out of Syracuse. The signal-caller led all of College Football in passing yards in his final season, breaking the ACC record, after transferring from Ohio State.
McCord stands at 6’3, 210 lbs so has the optimal size for the position but is much more of a pocket-passer than Jalen Hurts or Tanner McKee.
The Eagles love adding a quarterback each year to keep their developmental conveyor belt rolling, and adding a player who has a strong resume and only threw 6 picks during his final year with the Buckeyes before transferring is certainly a smart way to spend a late-round pick.
Philly did lose Kenny Pickett this past offseason so bringing in some extra competition for McKee and leaving the door open for a veteran does make sense.
Pick 191: OL Myles Hinton, Michigan

After several picks that were heavily focused on the defensive side of the ball, the Eagles have now made their third offensive pick of the draft. Philadelphia has selected former Michigan OL Myles Hinton with the 191st overall pick of the NFL draft.
The 6’ 7” offensive lineman will join a strong offensive line and could be the newest project for Jeff Stoutland. After losing Mekhi Becton to the Chargers, the Eagles may have a gem on their hands once Stoutland gets his hands on him. He’s a developmental lineman that has natural raw ability.
If the Eagles can polish his natural talent, Hinton could either be the heir to Lane Johnson or a good swing tackle for the group for years to come. The Eagles have focused on the trenches in two of the last three picks. It will be interesting to see where they go next.
Pick 191: OT Cameron Williams, Texas
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Eagles used the backend of the Draft to load up on offensive linemen. With Lane Johnson nearing the latter stages of his career, finding his successor early is important, and the Birds could well be hoping that Williams develops into a player to one day fill those shoes.
Williams stands at a gargantuan 6’6, 334 lbs, and is only 21 years old, which in this COVID-impacted draft class that features players who have spent an extra year on campus, certainly counts for something.
He was a one-year starter at Texas so there is plenty of tread on the tyre, but naturally, that also comes with a game that isn’t quite as polished as some other names in this class. That’s where Jeff Stoutland can step in and work his magic, however.
Pick 209: Antuan Powell-Ryland, EDGE Virginia Tech
To presumably round out their 2025 NFL Draft class, the Eagles added some extra EDGE help in the way of Antuan Powell-Ryalnd. APR is coming off of a colossal 16-sack season for the Hokies and believe it or not, is another athletic monster despite his smaller frame.
He makes up for that with a deep bag of pass-rushing tools and some blazing agility traits, giving the Eagles plenty of physical upside to work with over the next few years.
The EDGE position is certainly in a state of flux, but with Azeez Ojulari and Josh Uche in the wings, there’s no immediate need for a starter. This gives the team time to allow APR to grow into his new NFL cleats and find his footing.
