The Philadelphia Eagles may have a couple of seats available in the Edge Rushing room if Josh Sweat and Brandon Graham are not with the team next season. The Eagles love to invest in the trenches with their early-round picks, and the 2025 NFL Draft could be another year in which they do.

A few of the Edge Rushers on this list will likely not be available when the Eagles make their 2025 NFL first-round draft selection at pick 32 (wink, wink).

Here are the Eagles options:

Abdul Carter, Penn State- 6’3 259

He has been great at rushing off the edge and has an equally impressive first step off the snap. Abdul displays athletic bend & fantastic closing speed Physical, intuitive, & breaks down plays well. Two-time All-Big Ten linebacker, transitioning to Edge has worked out well.

“I think I can play anything. I feel like my pass-rush ability is really second to none and I can play any position my coaches need me to play.”

Abdul is a Philadelphia native who will likely be long gone before the Eagles make a selection.

Mykel Williams, Georgia- 6’5 265

Mykel is explosive off the snap, has a large repertoire of pass rushes, sets the edge well, gets off blocks easily, and plays all along the line. He diagnoses plays fast and brings a lot of other traits to the field. For such a young player, 20 years old, he has an expansive toolbox of skills. Williams is a player around whom you build your defense. He is Blue Chip, 1st round, top-tier prospect.

Nic Scourton, Texas A&M- 6’4 285

Scourton has a high motor and is a game-wrecker who gets to the QB. He displays bends, power, spin moves, and speed. Utilizes fast, violent hands to shed blocks and maintain leverage. Nic navigates the field with agility and fluidity. He sets edge versus the run and is athletic enough to drop into coverage against the pass. He’s a finisher and everything you want from an Edge and more. Only 20 years old, he is another exciting player who will improve

James Pearce Jr, Tennessee- 6’5 243

James is quick off the line, athletic, and demonstrates flexibility with a natural bend to get around the edge. He has shown his ability to use a nasty spin move to get to the QB! A very competitive, high-motor player, he never quits on a down. Pearce is strong versus the run and has a natural ability to take advantage of OLs with leverage.

Shemar Stewart, Texas A & M- 6’6 290

Shemar sets the edge versus the run and maintains it! He sheds blocks well and uses power or speed to attack ball carriers. Stewart has a lethal first step that, if not disrupted, leads to a quick sack. He is lean and powerful long frame creates mismatches vs OLs. A full toolbox that overflows as he keeps adding to his pass-rushing repertoire. A durable and relentless player that any team would love to add to their defensive line.

JT Tuimoloau, Ohio St- 6’5 270

J.T. reacts quickly using an understanding of what offenses are doing. He plays strong in the run game and sets the edge effectively. An above-average pass rusher who creates turnovers! His coverage ability is an asset, especially in today’s NFL, which asks DLs to drop back more often than any other period. Tuimoloau is durable and has the frame to grow and add more power. He is also fast! He reportedly ran a 4.62 forty.

Landon Jackson, Arkansas- 6’7 280

Jackson has an elite first step, one of the quickest in this class. Violent hands He is the prototype Edge rusher; he displays bend, can set the edge, has a relentless motor, and sheds blocks. He is a versatile and disruptive pass rusher peaking in his senior year. Landon’s attitude to always fight and play through the whistle is evident every week.

Princely Umanmielen, Ole Miss- 6’4 255

Oct 26, 2024; Oxford, Mississippi, USA; Mississippi Rebels linebacker Suntarine Perkins (4), defensive tackle Akelo Stone (95) and defensive end Princely Umanmielen (1) react after a fourth down stop during the second half against the Oklahoma Sooners at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Princely is an instinctive player who gets off the snap quickly! He is always reading and anticipating. He has a slender frame but packs a punch! He is another edge rusher with a great spin move. Umanmielen is an interesting prospect to watch develop. As he puts on a few pounds and adds strength to his already powerful core, he could be a player who projects to be better than he has been, which is hard to imagine.

Jack Sawyer, Ohio St- 6’5 260

Sawyer shows an explosive first step and an impressive burst out of his stance. He displays elite balance, upper body strength, agility, and instincts. Sawyer sets the edge well and is good against the run. Jack can be a three-down player in the NFL. I had him in the top 50 last year, but he was another Ohio State player who decided to return to school.

Mike Green, Marshall- 6’4 248

Mike’s closing speed is a cheat code; he is almost unstoppable! He has a beautiful inside move and can beat opposing OLs with speed and explosive get-off. He has caused 117 yards for loss via sacks and is a drive-killer! Green is 1st in FBS TFLs (20) & Sacks (15). Mike is Feldman Freak and one of the most underrated players in college football. He could be a first-round selection come April.

As always, Thank you for reading.
