Rams vs Dolphins: NFL Week 10 Betting preview

The Rams come into this matchup riding a 3-game winning streak and riding a eave of confidence following marquee victories over the likes of Minnesota and Seattle. The streak has been surprising given how middling the team has been this season, but they have all the pieces to reall turn things around as evidenced by that key win over the previously red-hot Vikings.

Their offense and defense both rank in the lower echelon of the NFL in terms of total yards and their struggles to run the ball consistently will absolutely be something to watch against a Miami defense that has been solid stuffing the ground-game this season.

As for the Dolphins, it’s been a season to forget so far. They do have Tua Tagovailoa back from injury, but he’s yet to pass the 250-yard mark since returning. Miami have ran a fairly conservative offense this season, especially through the air, and that may just give the Rams enough confidence to get aggressive and generate pressure to stunt any success via the pass.

Miami’s playoff hopes are minimal but not entirely dead, meaning that a win here is absolutely vital for a team on the fringe of throwing in the towel and asking much bigger questions. This will not be an easy game for the Rams with desperation beginning to set in for the Fins.

Interestingly, the Dolphins lead the all-time series against the Rams 12-2!

Why the Dolphins can win

The Fins haven’t lost to the Rams since 2001, and while this team is not the offensive juggernaut we’ve come to expect in recent years, it’s not like they’re short of weapons. Miami have all the pieces to pull out a surprising win over a Rams team that also looks far removed from its once-scintillating highs.

Why the Rams can win

Los Angeles is heating up at just the right time and will see this as a huge opportuntiy to push themselves closer to the top of their division. They’ve been the more consistent of the two teams and should be able to take advantage of the inconsistencies displayed by the Dolphins.

Rams vs Dolphins: NFL Week 10 Betting pick

I like the Rams here. This isn’t a huge spread considering it’s an LA home game and the caliber of team they’re facing. The recent run of form should be enough to lift them over a struggling Miami outfit.
