Eagles by the Numbers: Key stats and insights after their big win in Week 3

The Eagles are riding high after their exciting comeback win in New Orleans. They got contributions from a few unlikely players on the roster and attained some promising statistical improvements. The defense was very impressive against a very good offense. Offensively, the Eagles did all they could to put themselves into position for the win.

Here’s a look at the some key numbers from the Eagles win in The Big Easy:

1- Game-sealing interception from “Ed” Reed Blanekship that secured the win down in the Bayou.

9- Incompletions by Jalen Hurts in his 38 attempts. Hurts threw for 311 yards despite starting the game without his number-one receiver and ending it without his number-two receiver.

10- Special teamer Braden Mann’s number, who only made one punt in the game, good for 43 yards. 

11- The amount of yards Britain Covey totaled before leaving the game injured. 

12- Dropbacks Jalen Hurts had versus the blitz. He totaled 7 completions on 11 passes for 53 yards and 1 sack. Jalen Hurts ranks 4th among QBs in EPA/dropback when blitzed.

36- Brandon Graham’s age. He is playing at the top of his game. Remarkable. 

75- The percentage of passes completed by Jalen Hurts in back-to-back games with over 30 attempts tying Nick Fole’s mark during the 2017 Super Bowl run.

21.66- The top-speed Saquon Barkley hit on his 65-yard TD run. The second fastest by a ball-carrier this season. 

45.5- The average amount of points the Saints scored per game this season. The Eagles only allowed the Saints to score 12 points. 

61- The number of yards Dallas Goedert had in his 4th quarter reception that led to the Eagles game-winning touchdown. 

65- The total yards Saquon Barkley ran on his touchdown before leaping into the stands to greet Eagles fans at the Caesars Superdome.

405- The average amount of yards per game the Saints had totaled this season. They only mustered 219 versus the Birds.

2–1 The Eagles record heading to Tampa Bay as they try to secure another win before they have their early bye in week five.
