10 bold predictions that the crystal ball has revealed for the Eagles’ 2024 season

Every NFL season will have unexpected outcomes throughout the year. Some players will perform better than projected, and others will fall short. Luckily for Eagles fans, the Crystal Ball is here to foretell what you can expect to see during the 2024 season.

10- WR3 will have at least 40 receptions totaling over 450 yards and 5 touchdowns.

For context, last season the Eagles WR3 role was shared between Quez Watkins who had 15/142/1, and Olamide Zaccheus with 10/164/2. That was good for 25 catches, 306 yards and 3 touchdowns. That was not good enough.

9- Saquon Barkley will have over 1700 all-purpose yards. Fantasy football players, take note!

Barkley had 1242 yards from scrimmage in 2023 behind one of the worst lines in the NFC. He has the luxury of playing behind the best in 2024.

8- Milton Williams fills the void, and snaps, Fletcher Cox left behind.

Williams will have a breakout season and likely price him out of the Eagle’s plans for 2025 and beyond. There is still time for that extension, Howie!

7- Britain Covey will return a punt for a touchdown.

Some believe Covey’s roster spot is in jeopardy due to the free agent and draft additions added this off-season. I think it would be crazy to cut one of the best punt returners in the game. He will show his worth again this season.

6- Quinyon Mitchell will have 4 interceptions.

Quinyon led the Rockets in PBUs in 2023 with 18 and is Toledo University’s all-time leader in pass breakups with 46. He also added 6 picks in his last 2 seasons. That type of productivity was sorely missed in last year’s pass defense.

5- The Eagle’s defense will force over 28 turnovers.

The defense created a paltry 18 turnovers in 2023, a -10 differential. During their SB 57 season, they were +10. The team will find their way back on the plus side of the differential this year by challenging the same total they did in 2022.

4- Jalen Hurts will throw over 4,000 yards for the first time in his career.

The new Eagles’ OC will spice the offense enough to keep defenses guessing and honest. Moore will also add hot routes for when Jalen is blitzed. Something the fans, and players, have been clamoring for.

3- A.J. Brown will have over 1,700 receiving yards.

A.J. ended last season with 1,456 yards, including 4 games with 8,9,29, and 37 yards. He went six weeks in a row with over 100 yards per game but only managed one other week with over 100 yards. There will not be any dry spells lasting that long this season.

2- The Eagles will be undefeated at home, during the regular season and the playoffs.

There are only 8 regular season games at the Linc this season because one of their “home” games is in Brazil. The Birds will add to that total by a couple by hosting the NFC division and Championship rounds.

1- The Philadelphia Eagles will win Super Bowl 59.

The Eagles would likely have won SB 57 had they got the ball back at the end of that game. They have learned from that experience and will play four complete quarters. Their victory is never in doubt in this one. The Eagles have another epic parade and somehow Jason Kelce unloads another epic speech despite not playing a snap all season.

As always, thank you for reading.
