This feels like the ‘safest’ bet you can make on the Eagles at this stage. Nick Sirianni has guided his team to the playoffs in three straight years and while 2023 didn’t end in the way many fans envisioned, we can all agree that this roster is far better than it was this time one year ago.
With the Cowboys likely taking a step back and a friendlier schedule coming up, the NFC East is ripe for the taking and it’s hard to imagine that Philly will miss the playoffs in 2024.
Betting on an NFC East win does net you a +130 return, but if you wanted to bet bigger on a slightly safer outcome, then this is the play for you.

Eagles to win NFC East, Commanders to finish 2nd +950
I really like this. The Cowboys have done reasonably well in replacing a lot of the offensive firepower that left this past offseason, but is it really enough? Free Agency really stung the roster and it might take some time for the team to get back to their previous levels.
A lighter schedule will help them rack up the wins, but the idea of a surging Commanders team with a new quarterback, under a new coaching regime, and a more encouraging offseason that many see as a ‘step forward’ is too good to ignore. The Commanders aren’t good enough to challenge for a divisional crown, but they could make some noise and complicate things for the Cowboys, and that’s enough for me to take a swing at this +950 prop.

Quinyon Mitchell to win Defensive Rookie of the year +1100
As far as this award goes, competing with the likes of Dallas Turner and Laiatu Latu isn’t going to be easy for a CB with no immediate starting role insight…yet.
There’s a strong chance that James Bradberry is moved by the time Training Camp rolls around (Or Mitchell beats him for the #2 role) and if that does happen, then the green light will flash for first-round selection Quinyon Mitchell.
It would take an almighty effort, but there’s no reason why Mitchell can’t go on to win this award if he does land a starting role this Summer.
A nice pivot would be Cooper DeJean to win the same award at +2000. While he won’t be entrenched as a starter early, we could see him moved around Vic Fangio’s defense and if he impresses, that role will only increase as the season goes on. This is definitely a higher-risk play, but one fans who have watched DeJean’s tape might see as one worth taking.

Eagles wins after 5 games: 4 (+650)

For this prop to hit, the Eagles need to be 4-1 over their opening 5 games. The Browns might pose the biggest threat, but there’s also a chance that the Saints/Bucs play spoiler. Winning all 5, while entirely possible, might be difficult. Instead, I like the Eagles to be 4-1 after their opening 5, giving us some slight margin for error by factoring in a surprising loss between week 1 and 6.
Philadelphia Eagles to win the Super Bowl +1500
When it comes to betting on the Philadelphia Eagles, there may be no prop more enticing than the ‘Super Bowl Futures’ market. As things stand, the Eagles are priced below 7 other teams to win the Lombardi Trophy in 2024, which in theory does provide us with some serious value.
The Eagles have a pretty tame schedule, a ridiculously talented roster, and have been to the playoffs in three consecutive seasons. The NFC does have a juggernaut in the way of San Francisco, but the Eagles surprisingly maintain a 3-2 record over the 49ers in their last 5 games.
There’s a lot to like on this prop, especially this early in the year. If the Eagles burst out of the gate and notch a few wins, then the chances of seeing this kind of price again will drastically drop. It makes sense to get in early before the season, and maybe flutter a little more if Philly does start slow for whatever reason.
The stars seem to be aligning for a Super Bowl push, and this market should still give bettors plenty of value at such an early stage.
