The Philadelphia Eagles revealed their regular season schedule for 2024 last night and excitement for the new campaign is starting to ramp up. Whether you’re planning trips or simply looking at which dates to circle in your calendar, here are the 5 must-watch games that the Eagles will play this upcoming season.
Eagles 2204 Schedule: 5 must-watch games
Week 4 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sept 29th @ 1 pm
The Philadelphia Eagles were bounced out of the playoffs by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in gut-wrenching fashion. It wasn’t how any Philly fan wanted to see the year end, and the Bucs and their fans have been insufferable ever since.
With a chance to exact revenge at Raymond James Stadium, you can bet your bottom dollar that the Eagles will have this game circled in red. They’ll want to make a statement and right the wrongs of last season with a statement victory over a team who shouldn’t have won that game. The Eagles were better on paper and they are even stronger this time around. The idea of a rampant win is all too appealing for Birds fans who had to endure a truly horrible playoff defeat, making this game a must-watch.
Week 8 @ Cincinnati Bengals, Oct 27th @ 4:25 pm
The first real test the Eagles will face in 2024 is a clash with the Bengals on the road in week 8. It’s the first game on the schedule involving a team that should be listed among the early NFC/AFC Championship contenders and will act as a great grading scale to see just how good this team can be in 2024.
As far as predicting a winner, it truly feels like a coin flip. The idea of seeing two of the best quarterbacks in the league and some of the best skill-position players in the league battle it out is genuinely exciting even this far out, and I personally can’t wait to see how the Eagles fare against one of the AFC’s best.
Week 10 @ Dallas Cowboys, Nov 10th @ 4:25 pm
The Eagles haven’t won in Dallas since 2017 – conveniently the year they went on to win the Super Bowl. Is it a sign of things to come? Who’s to say?
All we know is that the Cowboys have lost a huge chunk of firepower this offseason and the Eagles have coincidentally added Kellen Moore to their staff, who coordinated the Dallas offense from 2019-2022. Sprinkle in a little Saquon Barkley chaos and the Birds might just have the recipe to finally get one over on their biggest rival on their own turf.
Week 12 @ Los Angeles Rams, Nov 24th @ 8:20 pm SNF
There’s a strong chance that the Los Angeles Rams end up as one of the strongest teams in the NFL this season. They do have quite a tricky schedule, but the team is strong enough to get at least 10 wins in 2024 and the Eagles cannot afford to overlook them.
With that said, Philly is 4-1 against the Rams over the last 5 matchups between the two teams, and nothing quite says primetime football like Eagles fans taking over a transient market’s stadium and making a statement against a prominent NFC outfit.
Week 13 @ Baltimore Ravens, Dec 1st @ 4:25 pm
Another strong playoff-level test, this might be the most exciting matchup of the year. One of the most lethal defenses in the NFL against one of the most explosive offenses, two elite quarterbacks, and two teams filled with superstars. This has ‘game of the season’ written all over it and it might even be seen as a potential Super Bowl preview.
If there’s ever an Eagles game to try and bring in a casual fan to watch, this might be the one. It promises to be a real clash of Titans and I cannot wait to see how the Eagles matchup against a team that promises to be one of the big Super Bowl contenders in 2024.
