After a sensational Sunday at Augusta, the PGA Tour rolls into Harbour Town Golf Links for the RBC Heritage. A stacked field including 2-time Masters winner, Scottie Scheffler, will look to attack one of the most picturesque courses in the country and stop Matt Fitzpatrick from retaining his crown.

Masters champ, Scottie Scheffler, comes into the RBC Heritage as a heavy favorite and it’s not hard to see why. Before he earned his second Green Jacket in 3 years, the World #1 finished 2nd at the Houston Open, won The Players Championship AND won the Arnold Palmer invitational. It’s genuinely difficult to bet against Scottie, who has been able to stay red-hot for what feels like forever. We really are witnessing a generational 3-year run of Golf and it’s showing no sign of slowing down.

Ludvig Aberg is an interesting name to watch at +1200. His Masters debut was a highly successful one, with the wonderkid finishing in second place. It was his first ever Major, and he now ranks 7th in the world at just 24-years-old. It feels like that first PGA Tour breakout moment is coming, and what a statement this would be to follow up on a a truly heroic week at Augusta National with a victory at the RBC Heritage.

If you were toying with backing a repeat winner, then Matt Fitzpatrick is your man. He comes into this event at +2200 and had a nightmare opening round at Augusta. He ended the tournament finishing 22nd, battling back valiantly and keeping his own strong season moving in the right direction. He had two top-10’s in a row prior to this past weekend and is one of the best ball-strikers on the planet, a trait worth its weight in gold around the narrow Harbour Town Golf Links..

Speaking of ball-strikers, this is a prime spot to back Will Zalatoris. His injury is now in the rear-view mirror and he played pretty solidly at The Masters, finishing 9th – his third consecutive top-10 finish. He ranked 4th on approach at Augusta and if he can keep building on that, his reformed putting stroke should no longer haunt him.

Betting prediction for The RBC Heritage

I think this is a week where we see a surprise winner. Will Zalatoris feels like a great shout to win the RBC Heritage at this price. He’s really been rounding into form as of late and he’s not the inexperienced young Golfer he once was. He’s experienced bitter defeats and emotional wins. Those are all pivotal when it comes to closing out events and with his iron play being as good as it ever has been, I like him here.
