DOOP vs Sounders Game Preview

Both teams are coming into those matches looking for their first wins of the season. Seattle is shorthanded and still looking for its first goal from open play this year. Will we see Philly get their first league win at home this season to continue their unbeaten run, or will Seattle spoil their party and find a way to grit their way to a victory? More on this match can be seen from our Jimmy King below!

Match Predictions

Both of these teams are in different situations to start the year. Seattle is dealing with the injury bug, and the Union is dealing with fixture congestion. Philadelphia is playing in its sixth match in 19 days, while Seattle is without multiple starters and star players. The match will be played at a rainy Subaru Park on Saturday night.

Philly may be resting some of their starters in this game due to their crucial clash in the Concacaf Champions Cup. Philadelphia secured a 0-0 draw at home to Liga MX side Pachuca last Tuesday and will travel to Mexico for the return leg this following Tuesday. Because of this, I’d expect a rotated squad. Seattle’s XI will be pieced together too, and they had to travel across the country for this match. It may be very sloppy, but I expect a 2-1 win for Philadelphia in this one.
