If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, watching a San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl loss will have brought some moderate joy after a torrid few months. One of the biggest reasons for that small smile is because of how much Deebo Samuel continued to run his mouth and chirp the Eagles over the last two years…for no real reason. It didn’t take long for Eagles legend and starting DT, Fletcher Cox, to bite back at the 49ers wideout.

Back in May, Deebo Samuel went on record saying the Eagles are his most hated team following Philly’s dominant dismissal of Deebo and company in the NFC Championship. This comment was the latest in a long line of chirps and tweets from Samuel, who still made time to bash the Eagles as recently as this month.

It wasn’t enough for San Francisco to exact reveng during their 42-19 stomping of Philly on December 3rd. Samuel told reporters: “I consider rivalries close games. We ain’t going to talk about that no more. That’s over with.”

So, Fletcher Cox patiently waited for his moment before tagging Deebo in a post, telling the wideout to keep the Eagles out of his mouth and that he has something Deebo Samuel doesn’t, of course referencing a Super Bowl ring.

Go Birds! Monday morning is now a little brighter…
