Ravens vs Chiefs: AFC Championship Game Betting preview
The Kansas City Chiefs might have taken a step back this season, but they’re back in the AFC Championship game for the sixth-consecutive season. There is something almost impenetrable about the Chiefs once they get the playoffs, and this season has been no different. Make no mistake, however, the Ravens will present their toughest challenge yet.
The Baltimore Ravens come into this game with the best rushing offense in the NFL, whereas the Chiefs rank 16th in stopping it. Stopping the best rushing offense is one thing, but doing so with the likely MVP winner in Lamar Jackson leading the charge is a different beast entirely.
A lot of this game is going to fall onto the shoulders of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. The Baltimore defense is playing at an exceptional level and it’s not like the Chiefs have much depth at WR outside of Rashee Rice, who put up 47 yards in the win over Buffalo. It will be down to Mahomes to do most of the heavy lifting and try to open things up for his wideouts to make plays.
49ers vs Lions: NFC Championship Game betting preview
The fairytale run that Detroit finds itself on right now is fun to watch. The Lions have won two playoff games in a row and will not be intimidated by a 49ers team that looked vulnerable against the Green Bay Packers, and were lucky to really avoid an upset.
On paper, the 49ers have the best defense in the NFC and it’s hard to match their levels of offensive production. What the Packers did was give Detroit a blueprint to slow things down enough to at least give their offense a chance to play their game without having to throw off the back-foot and with an overly aggressive mindset.
The Lions won’t be able to run the ball like they have in recent weeks, but Jared Goff has become an exceptional fit for this system, protects the ball well, and trusts his wideouts to make plays without forcing the issue.
If the Lions can learn from what they say on tape last week, they’ll absolutely have a chance…
