The Philadelphia Eagles have released their first injury report ahead of their New Years Eve clash against the Arizona Cardinals. After a month of disappointing play, Nick Sirianni and the Eagles have a chance to get things back on track this weekend with a second consecutive win. But will they be at full strength?

Eagles injury report:

Today’s practice was only a walkthrough so we can’t put too much stock in the report itself. However, the one thing we can almost guarantee is that Darius Slay will be sidelined.

Having recently undergone minor surgery, there’s no need to rush the veteran back, although he does hope to return by the playoffs. The good news is that Kelee Ringo appears to be improving on a weekly basis, which should give the Eagles some added flexibility so far as Slay’s recovery.

Zach Cunningham and Nicholas Morrow were both limited today, but that in itself is encouraging. Cunningham has frequented the injury report over the last few weeks, having last played in the blowout loss to the Cowboys. Shaq Leonard really found his footing against the Giants, which should again give the Eagles some flexibility with his return time.

Avonte Maddox was a full participant as he was for most of last week. This is important for the Birds, with the team having been without its premier slot cornerback for the majority of the season. He didn’t play against New York, but could well be set for a return against Arizona.
