Dolphins vs Cowboys: Of all the games in this year’s Christmas slate of NFL action, Dolphins vs Cowboys might be the most exciting. Miami has a two-game lead in the AFC East, while the Cowboys must win all of their games if they have a shot of winning the NFC East.

Jake Ferguson has become an integral part of this Cowboys’ offense over the last month. He’s had at least 5 receptions in each of the last 3 games and a total of 193 yards along with a touchdown.
The Dolphins have allowed more than Ferguson’s receiving total to opposing TE’s on 9 different occasions this season, and Ferguson is heating up at just the right time to take advantage of that.
With all the focus on the wideouts and a dominant rushing attack, Ferguson is bound to play a pivotal role in finding weak spots.
Tony Pollard to score an anytime TD
Prior to the huge win over Philadelphia, Pollard was riding a 3-game touchdown streak. He’s quietened since then, but still has 25 carries over his last two games and is bound to get a heavy workload.
Miami ranks 19th when it comes to rushing touchdowns allowed, and that number jumps from 0.9 to 1.3 over the last 3 weeks. There should be plenty of opportunities for Pollard to find the endzone against a Miami defense that, while elite, isn’t as strong against the run.

Jaylen Waddle over 66.5 receiving yards

Without knowing whether Tyreek Hill will be available on Christmas Eve, it feels smart to ride the red-hot Jaylen Waddle. He’s had 4+ receptions in each of the last 3 weeks and has flown over this total in both of his last two games. It’s clear he has WR1 potential and with Hill likely absent or less than 100%, it only gives him more opportunities to shine.
This does feel like quite a steep total, but Waddle has gone over this total 6 times in 2023, and 4 of those have been alongside arguably the best wideout in football. It won’t be hard for Waddle to reach this if given the solo spotlight again.
Tua Tagovailoa under 268.5 passing yards
Tua has been a strong quarterback this season, but the drop-off in production without Tyreek Hill in the offense is certainly noticeable. He’s gone under this total in two of the last 3 games and now faces the NFL’s fourth-ranked pass defense.
As good as Tua is, this Cowboys defense has been able to hold some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL to average games. Even in Buffalo’s dominant win, Josh Allen was held to 94 yards, and Brock Purdy was held to 254 when they blew the Cowboys out earlier in the year.
The Dolphins have a great rushing attack and don’t need to force the ball to a receiver who will likely be doubled for a huge chunk of the game if Tyreek Hill is out.
