Things to note

Home Opener

Union will play host to the Chicago Fire on the opening night of the MLS season on February 24th!

Staying out of the cold

Just 3 games at Home in MLS play before May, which gives Union fans a majority of home games in the warmer months of the season, something much needed after the non-stop awful weather last season.

A first-ever meeting between two clubs

Saturday, March 16th, Union will travel to Texas for its first-ever meeting against Austin FC at TQL Stadium.

Messi’s Inter Miami Returns to Chester

On Saturday, June 15th Inter Miami and Lionel Messi will return to Subaru Park for the first time since handing Union a 4-1 loss at home in the Leagues Cup Semi-Final last summer.  Ticket buyers beware – COPA America will kick off the following week, which means Messi could rest against Union in preparations for International Duty with Argentina.

Leagues Cup Break

MLS will take a break from July 26th to August 25th for the second edition of the Leagues Cup.

MLS Champs Come to town

On Saturday, August 24th, The reigning MLS Champs Columbus Crew will come to Subaru Park for the last home game of the Summer in MLS play.

Union’s first-ever opponent returns to Philadelphia for the first time since 2019

In the second home game of the season, Union will host the first team they ever faced off against Seattle Sounders. The 2022 CCL winners will come to town on September 9th.

West Coast Road Trips

Union will make one West Coast road trip this season, playing two consecutive games out west against Austin FC on Saturday, March 16th, and Portland Timbers on Saturday, March 23rd, at 10:30 pm.

Wednesday Home matches

Union will play 3 home matches on Wednesday against NYCFC on May 15th, Toronto FC on May 29th, and New England on July 17th.

Always on the move in 2024

Unfortunately for Union, there aren’t any lengthy homestands in the 2024 season, but there aren’t any long road trips either.  The longest homestand of the season will be 3 games between May 29th and June 15th against Toronto FC (May 29), CF Montreal (June 1), and Inter Miami on June 15th.
The longest road trip of the season is also only 3 games long between August 31st and September 18th against New York Red Bulls (Aug 31), Inter Miami (Sept 14), and NYCFC (Sept 18).

Big test to end the season

Union will end the season with a tough stretch that could play a big part in their playoff seeding, playing 4 2023 Playoff teams – Atlanta at home on September 28th, on the road against Orlando on October 2nd, on the road against the Champs on October 5th, and at home against Cincinnati on October 19th.

Decision Day

Union will conclude the 2024 season by hosting the 2023 MLS MVP and FC Cincinnati on Decision Day on Saturday, October 19th.

4 Major International Tournaments

there will be four major international tournaments that take place during the 2024 MLS Season – African Cup of Nations (Jan 13 – Feb 11), UEFA EURO 2024 (June 14 – July 14), Copa America (June 20 – July 14), and the Summer Olympics (July 24 – Aug 10).
