49ers vs Eagles Betting preview
The Philadelphia Eagles have been underdogs one time this season. To see them labeled as underdogs at HOME, where they haven’t lost a game all season and were 7-2 in 2022, is genuinely surprising.
Sure, the Niners rinsed the Cowboys back in October, but they also endured a 3-game losing skid. You could argue that San Francisco is the tea putting in more complete efforts every week, as it’s become clear the Eagles are their own worst enemy.
The Eagles will go into Sunday knowing that Dallas survived a surging Seahawks team on Thursday to reduce the lead in the NFC East to one game. A loss for Philadelphia here could have huge playoff implications, with a clash against the Cowboys in Texas now on the horizon.
As for the Niners, they won’t have the same sense of urgency, but they will want revenge for the beatdown given to them in last season’s championship game. Brock Purdy is healthy and is far more protective of the ball than he was last season, which doesn’t bode well for a Philadelphia defense that has been leaking passing yards all year.
49ers vs Eagles: Betting prediction
This will be a really tight matchup and while there is reason to believe that San Francisco will capitalize on an Eagles team seemingly scraping wins against good teams, but we also have to remember that Philly is 10-1 for a reason. Jalen Hurts has won 7 straight when his team is down by 10+ at any point.
I’m not sure if the Eagles win outright, but I like them to cover.
