Packers vs Lions: It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without the Detroit Lions playing on the holiday. They have played the most Thanksgiving Day games with a 37-44-2 record and enter this year’s contest losing each of the last six games they’ve played on Thanksgiving. The Packers are coming off a big win over Los Angeles last week and are feeling good entering this NFC North clash.

Ahead of the first game of the triple-header on Thanksgiving, here are some plays that are tastier than your aunt’s fruitcake.
Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 25+ Receiving Yards
It took longer than expected, but the rookie running back who played at Georgia Tech and Alabama has finally become a staple in this offense for Detroit after David Montgomery missed time due to injury.
Gibbs has hit this number in four straight games (58, 37, 35 and most recently 59) while seeing 26 targets during those four games! It’s evident the Lions want to get the ball in his hands in space. Green Bay’s defense has allowed 31.2 receiving yards to running backs this season (15th in NFL) but the 9th most targets to running backs at almost seven targets per game. Gibbs is an elite pass catcher out of the backfield and has the explosiveness to turn one catch into a home run play.

Jordan Love OVER 33.5 Passing Attempts
Love is coming off arguably his best game of the season last week where he aired it out 40 times. Green Bay’s running back situation is dire with Aaron Jones being carted off the field and A.J. Dillon who hasn’t been productive this season, dealing with a groin issue.
With the banged up backfield helping our cause in terms of game script, plus the Lions’ struggling in coverage this season, it creates a nice recipe for Love to use his arm more.
Detroit has allowed the sixth-most passing attempts this season with opposing quarterbacks averaging 38.5 attempts per game. Love has thrown it 40+ times in three of the last four games and has hit this number five times this season, including in the first meeting against Detroit where he had 36 attempts.
Expect the Packers to rely on Love’s arm.
Jordan Love OVER 225+ Yards passing
Sticking with the Packers’ quarterback, this also coincides with what I had mentioned above. But, if you need more numbers, Detroit is allowing the 6th-most passing yards per game at nearly 276 yards per contest. Love has hit this number in four straight games, including 246 yards in the loss to the Lions in Week 4.

Amon-Ra St. Brown OVER 90 Yards Receiving
St. Brown has been on a tear over his last five games since returning from injury hauling in 47 catches on 63 targets for 567 yards and 3 touchdowns. He’s averaging just over 12 yards per catch during that stretch and check out the yard totals in each of the last five games:
Week 6: 124 yards
Week 7: 102 yards
Week 8: 108 yards
Week 10: 156 yards
Week 11: 77 yards
St. Brown does average just 57 yards per game against the Packers in his career. However, the star wideout is trending upward already nearing 1,000 yards on the season. I’ll ride the hot hand.
