Bengals vs. Ravens: game preview

There are frustrating losses, and then there’s your MVP-candidate quarterback giving the game away to a division rival. That’s how frustrating last week was for Ravens fans and the organization itself. One thing is certain, though, Lamar Jackson, always the competitor that he is, will come into this matchup focused and ready to put Baltimore back in the win column.

An uncharacteristic game against a strong defense will happen, but Jackson is not one to let things like this become a trend. He will do everything in his power to ensure this game has a different end result than last Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Bengals, who oddly enough are also coming off a loss by a last-second field goal, are fighting for their playoff lives as they prepare to face the top dog in their division. Working against Cincinnati, as it has been all season, is the injury bug. On both sides of the ball, they just have not been able to shake it, and it is cause for concern once again in Week 11 as both Sam Hubbard and Tee Higgins will miss the action Thursday night.

Shockingly, Trey Hendrickson is among those who will be active for the game despite suffering a hyperextended knee at the tail end of last week’s game against the Texans. This week, he’s raring to go and join Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, who will lead the Bengals look to climb out of last place in the AFC North.

This Bengals vs. Ravens matchup is shaping up to be another in a long line of great rivalry games.
