The Jags being 3-point dogs at HOME while on a 5-game win streak is wild. The Niners continue to be juiced up in terms of their pricing, but with Deebo Samuel finally returning, this might finally be the game it all comes together.
The Niners could be without Javon Hargrave which is less than ideal, but the defense has been what’s keeping them in tight games where a hobbling offense has struggled to score. Brock Purdy has been very solid for the most part, but has hit a wall lately, turning the ball over six times in his last 3 games. His 5 picks on the season have all come in that span. Given that the Jags lead the NFL in takeaways, this could be a game, at home, where Jacksonville is licking its lips.
The Jags also come into this game with the fourth-ranked run defense in the NFL, which bodes well if they plan to suffocate one of the most dynamic rushing threats in the entire league. McCaffrey hasn’t registered more than 55 yards on the ground since October 1st. If the Jags can stop the run, they have every chance of keeping Brock Purdy cold.
