Wednesday night, the Philadelphia 76ers hosted over 1,500 season ticket members and partners at Reading Terminal Market for an exclusive event. Famed in and beyond Philadelphia, Reading Terminal Market is a historic public market and 501(C)(3) non-profit that has been a staple in the community for over 130 years. Sixers players and their head coach, Nick Nurse, were in attendance as the team unveiled their new 2023-24 City Edition uniform.

In total, 11 small, family-owned and operated businesses joined the Sixers for the event, presented by Crypto.com, while Nick Nurse, Danny Green, De’Anthony Melton, and Paul Reed all participated in a live Q&A alongside the notable and unmistakable in-arena voice of the Sixers, Matt Cord.

This event not only enabled the Sixers to unveil their new City Edition uniforms for the upcoming season, but more importantly, it allowed an opportunity to shine a light on the history, diversity, and community that is present not just at Reading Terminal Market, but in Philadelphia as a whole.

The Sixers have the benefit of being from one of the most historically rich cities in both the NBA and the United States, which is also rich in culture and diversity. Something the team often has, and hopefully always will, embrace.
