The Philadelphia 76ers have announced the full staff that will be on the sidelines with head coach Nick Nurse for the upcoming NBA season. Nurse’s staff includes assistant coaches Bryan Gates, Bobby Gates, Rico Hines, Matt Brass, Doug West, former Delaware Blue Coats head coach Coby Karl, and current Delaware Blue Coats head coach Mike Longabardi. Nurse brought along his former Toronto Raptors’ head video coordinator, John Corbacio, and added him to his current staff.

The 76ers’ player development staff includes Jason Love, Toure’ Murphy, Kareem Thayer, Terrell Harris, and two holdovers from River’s former staff, Villanova product Reggie Redding and former Temple Owl TJ Dileo.

Nick Nurse has formulated an interesting staff of coaches in higher roles on the bench. He is giving many an opportunity to show they can help gameplay and contribute to a team that has championship aspirations. He has tapped into his roots in the G-League by hiring former G-League coaches and giving them a chance to succeed in the NBA. Nurse first started as a coach for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the G-League affiliates for the Houston Rockets in 2011. Ultimately, Nurse and staff are tasked with taking Joel Embiid and the 76ers all the way to the NBA championship.
