The Philadelphia Phillies made light work of the Washington Nationals, winning 3 of the 4 games in the series and pitching a no-hitter in the process. The team will now host the Minnesota Twins for a weekend series before a trip to Toronto. Can they keep the good vibes rolling after a magical midweek game from Michael Lorenzen?

Pitching matchup
Christopher Sanchez (6-7, 3.44 ERA) vs Dallas Keuchel (0-0, 1.80 ERA)
Christopher Sanchez will head to the mound on the back of a tricky day at the office against the Royals. The Phils won the matchup, but Sanchez gave up 6 runs through 5 innings, including 2 homers. That’s been the real cause for concern for Sanchez, who has otherwise been very solid for the Phils – Homers. He’s allowed 7 in his last 6 games. If you’re looking for a bet that isn’t the Phillies moneyline, it may be worth exploring some Twins batter props.
Across from him will be Dallas Keuchel – a name familiar to many. His Twins debut was a mixed bag. He allowed just one run in 5 innings but surrendered 8 hits and was unable to get a single strikeout. Now pitching at a hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park, it’s not the most encouraging thing to hear.

Phillies vs Twins Betting preview
The Twins are putting up 4.4 runs per game, averaging .237 at the plate. It’s very much been a middling season for Minnesota, but that could change against the Phils, in this pitching matchup at least. The run-total sits at 9.5, so I do like betting the over here given that Keuchel got away with a one-run outing in his debut with Minnesota, and Sanchez has a tendency to allow big hits.
If you want to play some Phils props, Alec Bohm to hit a home run is +390, and Kyle Schwarber to record one is +285. Both have a favorable matchup here.
The Phillies are 4-1 in their last 5 in comparison to a struggling 2-3 Twins side. Philadelphia ranks 9th in home batting average and Minnesota ranks 2nd from bottom in road batting average. I’ll take the Phils and the over today.
