The Philadelphia Phillies are back in action after sweeping the San Diego Padres. Next up is a clash with the Milwaukee Brewers to kickstart the second half of the season. The Phils were fairly hot coming into the end of the first stanza and have wasted no time in picking up where they left off.

Pitching matchup
Aaron Nola (8-6, 4.39 ERA) vs Julio Teheran (2-3, 3.64 ERA)
Aaron Nola is set to make his first start since July 9th, which was a loss to the Marlins where he gave up 8 hits and 5 runs before the All-Star break. He’ll be hoping to find a consistent base upon his return, having struggled to string together multiple strong appearances all season long.
Across from Nola will be Julio Teheran, who has made a remarkable resurgence since joining the Brewers rotation. However, he has faced one arch nemesis throughout his career and he just so happens to be on the Phillies. We’ll get into that shortly.

Phillies vs Brewers Betting preview
The Brewers are a very beatable team for the Phils. They rank 26th in batting average and are allowing 4 runs per game, which sits 12th. Teheran has been a large reason why the Brewers have been able to stay in games where the offense has run dry, but he’ll face a real challenge on Tuesday.
Did you know that Bryce Harper is 19/49 against Teheran and has recorded 9 HOME RUNS in his career?! The 2021 NL MVP has also recorded 4 runs across his last 3 games and appears to only be getting better. Backing a Bryce Harper home run (which opened at around +320 depending on where you place your bets), could be a very profitable bet. Another pivot would be Harper to record a hit, or an RBI.
Other pivots may be to back the OVER 9 runs. Aaron Nola has struggled to be the consistent ace we all know he can be, and this Phillies offense may prove too much for an otherwise brilliant Teheran to handle. This could easily be an 11-12+ run game and I like the odds here.
