Jimmy Butler over 23.5 points
Jimmy Butler has had a fairly quiet start to this series out in Denver, registering 21 and 13 points in the opening pair of games. However, in 2 of the 3 home games against the Celtics, Butler surpassed the 23.5 point total mark.
The heart and soul of this Heat team is bound to have a huge role to play in game 3 and if the Heat are going to win this game, we can expect a high-scoring performance. The ankle injury is only going to get better and with that should come some more prolific scoring outings.
Aaron Gordon over 5.5 rebounds
Aaron Gordon has done a brilliant job at stopping Jimmy Butler this series and his average of 6.6 rebounds per game this season is notable. In the series against the Heat, he’s recorded 13 rebounds up to this point. Miami should be more aggressive at home and the higher pace should correlate with more opportunities for Gordon to get involved and record more rebounds.
Max Strus: 2.5+ 3 pointers
Max Strus was 4-10 from the 3-point line against the Nuggets last time out and now he’ll be firing in front of the home fans. He’s shooting 35% on the season which isn’t great, but it also isn’t terrible, with Strus consistently being a player who could heat up at any given moment.
There isn’t a ton of value on betting Strus outside of this line, which tells me Vegas is at least bullish on another decent outing from range in game 3 of Nuggets vs Heat.
Jamal Murray over 6.5 assists
With 10 assists in each game of the Nuggets vs Heat series, 6.5 feels like one huge drop-off with no real reason. He averaged 6.2 in the regular season and should be more than able to push past that mark against Miami.
Against the Heat, Murray averages 3.7 assists per game (9 career matchups). At WORST even a bad day at the office should see Murray around 2 assists short of this total, giving us some high upside to work with.
