Rockies vs. Phillies: as the Phillies climb back to .500, let’s make some green
It took Trea Turner 84 total plate appearances in a Philadelphia uniform to go deep, and it happened on April 19th – the anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolution (sorry, Liam).
Sitting now three games below .500 and six games back in the NL East, the Phils are looking for a little revolution of their own.
No better place to start than with the National League’s worst record holder, Colorado Rockies. Play bong, erhm ball.

Pitching Matchup
Ryan Feltner (0-2, 8.78 ERA) v. Matt Strahm (1-1, 2.13 ERA)
PHILLIES
Matt Strahm’s no stranger to the Rockies following his four seasons in San Diego with the Padres. In two starts and thirteen total appearances, Strahm has an ERA of 5.60 and has allowed three home runs across 17 & 2/3 innings.
One batter he’s struggled against is the veteran Charlie Blackmon. While Blackmon may not be the perennial All-Star of years past, the outfielder has a lifetime 1.194 OPS against Strahmy. I’d cross the aisle with some Blackmon props, but luckily for Strahm, he’s not starting this evening.
Still, O/5.5 strikeouts for Strahm (+108 odds) feel ambitious. Don’t touch or take the under.
ROCKIES
A former fourth-round pick, Ryan Feltner, will look to face the Phillies for the third time in his career.
Lifetime, Feltner’s struggled against the leadoff hitter in particular. Opposing batters hitting in the leadoff spot today, which will be Bryson Stott, have hit .333 with four homers. Although Stott’s historic hitting streak ended a few days ago, he’ll look to do some damage early against the 26-year-old Feltner.
Rockies vs Phillies: Prop of the Day
We’re headed straight for the top of the lineup – Stott & Turner. It’s not the boldest of parlays but something that will still net you plus odds. Here it is:
WAGER | ODDS |
Bryson Stott to Record A Hit | -290 |
Trea Turner to Record 2+ Bases | -135 |
PARLAY ODDS | +136 |
That’s $10 to win $13.65, and while it won’t make us rich, we all need a little green today.
