The Philadelphia Phillies have split their series with the White Sox so far, with yesterday’s double-header providing us plenty of offense in game 1 and what felt like a totally different team in game 2. Can the Phils find a middle ground on Wednesday?

Phillies vs White Sox prop bet watch

Phillies over 4.5 runs

Yesterday was a bit of a dud. The Phillies were stifled at the plate but I don’t think that’s the beginning of a trend, especially against a White Sox side containing a bullpen giving up a league-worst 7.04 ERA. The Phillies still lead the league in batting average, and unless Mike Clevinger can hold the Phillies runless, this total should at least hit 5 or 6 in an ideal world.

Bryson Stott to record a hit -230

Stott ranks 6th in the entire MLB in batting average despite his incredible hitting streak coming to a grinding halt last night. Stott went 0-4 in the loss to Chicago, but he’s still hit in 17 of 18 appearances this year and I’d like to think that this bullpen is vulnerable enough to yield another hit to reignite that form.

Jake Burger to record 0.5+ RBI +215

Jake Burger came into yesterday having scored 4 home runs along with a .350 average. He found a 5th in his appearance yesterday, extending his hitting streak to 4 games. He’s had 2 doubles and 5 homers so far and the Phils are giving up an average of one home run per game. I would be more aggressive with the home run pick, but an RBI feels like the safer option.

Taijuan Walker to record 4.5+ strikeouts -135

Walker has recorded at least 4 K’s in each of his three appearances this season, picking up 5 on two occasions. The White Sox have a potent offense but are still striking out over 8 times per game and that number is up to 10 in their last 3. I like Walker to sting them at least 5 times here.
