The new MLB season is nearly upon us. It feels like only yesterday that ‘Dancing on my Own’ was bellowing out around the City of Brotherly Love while the Phillies shockingly made a World Series appearance and pushed the Houston Astros as hard as they could. The question now becomes whether or not they can go one step further, or repeat that feat in 2023.

As far as betting on the Phillies goes, fans have plenty of options. From individual game spreads to team futures and World Series odds, the options are endless. This handy guide will go over some of the most popular futures markets available to Phillies fans as well as give you some exciting betting offers to use when wagering behind the Fightin’s.

Phillies to win the NL East: +370

Phillies to win the National League: +850

Unsurprisingly, the Phillies sit 3rd behind both the Braves and Mets ahead of the new season when it comes to NL East betting. After sneaking into the playoffs via a wildcard spot last season, there is some natural anticipation about what this team could do during a full season with Rob Thomson at the helm. Sprinkle in the addition of Trea Turner and the Phils could well be poised to at least challenge both teams ahead of them for the NL East crown.

The slightly worrying part is that they will of course be without Bryce Harper to start the season, which could make winning the entire division or conference a mammoth order. However, with that said, there’s never been a better time to back that selection if you’re bullish on the team as a whole!

As far as the National League goes, there are some other prominent teams to worry about. The Dodgers, Padres, and Cardinals will all be standing in the way of Philly and it would be impossible to win the NL without claiming the East. If you’re going to back one selection, you may as well back the other because a team that’s good enough to win their division will absolutely come close to winning the National League, giving you some value.

Phillies to win the World Series: +1700

The Phillies did get better this past offseason but they will still need to recreate some of last year’s magic if they are to go one step further and win it all in 2023. It’s not impossible and as we all know, a Red October is extremely difficult for opposing teams to handle. Citizen’s Bank Park becomes a fortress and so long as the Phils can get into the dance, then they do have a shot at dancing the night away.

Phillies win total: Over/Under 88.5

This number is really interesting. The Phillies ended last season with 87 wins, while their projected total going into the year was 86. Do we really think this team is only one win better than last year? Let’s not forget that they went 22-29 under Joe Girardi before a change was made. This number should comfortably fly over.
