We’re just 24 hours away from the Divisional Round of the playoffs and round three between the Eagles and Giants. A rivalry etched in the annals of NFL history takes center stage Saturday night.

Eagles vs Giants

In a playoff game such as this, being healthy is just as important as playing well. New York understands this. Outside of Azeez Ojulari, the Giants come into Saturday’s contest fully healthy and rearing to knock Philly off their home crowd perch.

Eagles injury report: Avonte Maddox out for Saturday’s clash with the Giants

There’s good and bad news for the Eagles from their own health standpoint though. While starting slot corner Avonte Maddox will not play in the second-round battle, All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson was a full-go in practice all week and has no injury designation for Saturday.

In fact, outside of Maddox, there are no injured players the Eagles will leave as gametime decisions going up to kickoff.

Of course, Maddox is still a significant loss. While he didn’t play in either of the two matchups against New York this season, the slot position is a strength for the G-Men that they could exploit on Sunday.

Jonathan Gannon is expected to play Chauncey Gardner-Johnson in the slot more and use Reed Blankenship at safety. The Giants could be without Ojulari as well but while he remains questionable, New York’s defensive line has been dominant even without the second-year pass rusher.

Both teams are healthy, hungry, and willing to do whatever it takes on Saturday night. Who will come out on top? We’re just over 24 hours away from figuring that out.
