We all know that Philadelphia Eagles fans are the most passionate in the world. From their unrelenting support on the road, to the intense atmosphere at the Linc that gives the team such a strong homefield advantage, Philly fans have long been known as some of the best in all of Football. But just how far does their love of the Eagles stretch?

Eagles fans would go to extreme lengths for another Super Bowl ring surveyed 1,027 US-based NFL fans about their behaviors and opinions, with fans being split by team, age, gender, region, and city. The results were…not surprising? But also a tad surprising.

The BonusFinder.Com study revealed that 20% of Philadelphia Eagles fans would skip their own wedding or the birth of their child if it meant that their team won the Super Bowl this season. That’s right. 1 in every 4 Eagles fans would duck their own wedding to climb a greased light pole and scream ‘Go Birds’. I know you’re reading this, and I’ll be climbing the light pole right next to you.

The survey also revealed that the team with the highest number of fans that would skip Valentines Day plans to watch the Birds was also the highest of any in the NFL, with 26% of fans happily prepared to sprint down to XFinity Live and watch the Eagles instead.

Can the Eagles do it again?

the good news is that the Philadelphia Eagles do have a great chance at winning the Super Bowl this year. They will host the New York Giants this weekend in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs and a win would send them to the NFC Championship game for the first time since that fateful 2017 season.

Hopefully, the Eagles will make their return to the Super Bowl stage without the need for any missed wedding days or childbirths. The team ended the regular season with a win over the New York Giants that clinched them the #1 seed and homefield advantage. They’re 2-0 against the G-men this season and will be hoping for a hat-trick in the divisional round to set up another potential Super Bowl run under Howie Roseman.

Fintan Costello, Managing Director at, said: “The love for your favorite team can run deep but Eagles fans have taken their passion to the next level.

“In case you are dating an Eagles fan, we would advise checking the calendar for important dates from Valentine’s Days to due dates, and from birthdays to wedding dates – ‘cause when it comes to important games and especially the Super Bowl, they might not show up!

“They say that blood is thicker than water and it’s clear that the Eagles’ fans bleed green all the way.”
