Through the first 13 weeks of the season, the Philadelphia Eagles have earned the right to be called the best team in the NFL. They have raced out to an 11-1 record, standing alone as the NFC’s #1 seed. Besides a strange Monday night game against Washington, Philadelphia has found multiple different ways to win every week and are having one of the best seasons in franchise history.

Whether it is mauling defenders in the run game or torching them in the passing game, the Eagles have shown massive versatility along the way. With last week’s impressive win over the Tennesee Titans, the Eagles should be considered the Super Bowl favorite.

Despite owning the league’s top record, there is still doubt from the public about just how good Philly is. According to multiple sportsbooks, the Eagles are generally looked at as the third or even fourth-best team. The Bills and Chiefs are commonly put ahead of them, along with them being neck and neck with their archrival Dallas Cowboys. The Bills and Chiefs are somewhat understandable in being ahead of the Eagles, but this season Philly has played better than both of them.

Eagles vs the AFC

The Bills have had down games, with Josh Allen near the top of the league in turnovers, causing them to lose a few more games. Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City remain as probably the Eagles’ biggest threat to win the Super Bowl, but much like the Bills, have had a few slip-ups as well. Philadelphia could very well meet one of these teams in the big game but they should be favored, due to overall consistency and dominance throughout the season.

Eagles vs Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are in my opinion, the Eagles’ biggest threat in the NFC. Because of the sheer amount of Dallas fans and the impact they hold over the NFL, their odds are almost artificially inflated but they are still a dangerous team. In a down NFC, the East has been home to the biggest powerhouses this season. As of right now, the Eagles are the more complete team and should be more trusted than the Cowboys.

Dallas can make things interesting on Christmas Eve with a win, but as long as the Eagles continue to take care of business, they should still be favored over them. This is not an argument saying Philly is going to win the Super Bowl, but they should definitely be favored based on what has happened this season.
