A side that many predicted to be a dark horse in this tournament has disappointed through the opening two games, but this isn’t the first time it’s happened. They lost their opening two games of Euro 2020 and still found a way to push through to the semi finals. A run like that will provide plenty of inspiration for this team, and they can surely be forgiven for falling short to France.

As for the Aussies, their World Cup has already been a success. They had to fight just to get here and have made the most of that opportunity, coming away with a big win over Tunisia. Denmark sits 28 spots higher in the World Rankings and will be a middle-ground opponent between Tunisia and France. But if they lost to France and beat Tunisia, could we see a draw here? That would be enough to qualify provided that Tunisia don’t stun France.

There is a significant gulf in talent here though and that has to be noted. Don’t make a mistake and underestimate Denmark due to a slow start.
