The Buffalo Bills surprisingly come into this matchup as -2.5 point favorites despite the fact that the Los Angeles Rams stormed to a Super Bowl win just a few months ago. The over/under sits at 53 points.

Bills vs Rams betting prediction

If you’re looking for an edge here, the under could well be the play. The Bills defense ranked first in total defense and points allowed per game last year, while the Rams possess a rampant pass rush and a pick-friendly secondary.

The offense is what really inflates the total here, with Matt Stafford throwing for nearly 5,000 yards last year and Josh Allen emerging as an MVP candidate. But with a 53-point spread as a result, I don’t think it’s pricing in the fact that it’s the first game of the season where things can notoriously be a bit bumpy to begin with, and just how dominant each defense can be.

As far as prop bets go, Cooper Kupp to get over 90 yards against this defense feels like a good bet. The Bills will be without Tredavious White to start the year and that may open up just enough of an opportunity for the safeties to focus their attention on the perimeter knowing that the rookies will be targeted. As a direct knock-on effect, Kupp may have more space to work with and that always spells trouble with a capital T.
