The Eagles will take on the Miami Dolphins tonight for their preseason finale. While the starters won’t see the light of day, the focus will be on the players that are fighting for a roster spot. You will see a mix of their top rookies in the hope to get more game action for them but you’ll mostly witness the battles of the undrafted free agents and the journeyed veterans.

The Eagles had a terrific offseason that will be a point of emphasis once they have to trickle down the roster to their 53-man unit. They’ve added key veterans and stars that are still in their youth but they’ve also added some undrafted free agents that could have incredible ceilings and be key contributors for any team down the stretch.

Eagles to keep an eye on

Deon Cain

Deon Cain made quite the showing this off-season. The raves have been at an all-time high for the former 2018 6th-round pick.

Cain was drafted by the Colts during Sirianni’s tenure which is why he’s thrived in the system here. His familiarity with the scheme has put him in a position to force the team’s hand in choosing between him and possibly Jalen Reagor.

Josh Jobe

Look for Josh Jobe tonight and try to focus on the moment that he leaves the field. If Jobe starts the game and plays a couple of snaps then that will tell you all you need to know.

The eagles could have a future stud in the former Alabama product and it looks like they’re well aware. Jobe has established himself well within the DB group and could be the one they invest in going forward.

Eagles Betting Preview

It’s never easy to bet on a preseason game, especially one where starters are at a bare minimum. The Eagles will have barely any, if any, starters touch the field. Meanwhile, the Dolphins already canceled one joint practice this week due to food poisoning. With the regular season within reach, both teams will likely leave this one to the guys battling for a roster spot.

It’s silly to bet this game at all, but if you must, the under feels like the play. The last Dolphins game combined for 28 points. The Eagles have eclipsed 40 in both of their games, but starters showed face a bit. The line has already dropped two points since open, which is likely moving in the correct direction.
