To say that Jordan Davis has been the star of the summer would be an understatement. The behemoth who was drafted in the first round just a few months ago has drawn eyes and praise throughout Training Camp due to his sheer size and strength. When Lincoln Financial Field opened its doors for a public practice, it’s safe to say that fans were excited to see the former Bulldog in action…and he didn’t disappoint.

Davis man-handled newly drafted center, Cam Jurgens, in a 1-on-1 drill to the point it looked like me or you trying to stop him. For context, Jurgens is 6’3, 303 lbs. Davis made moving a 303 lbs man look like it was light work.

It’s not the first time that Jordan Davis has stood out

It isn’t the first time Davis has drawn attention this summer. Newly-signed linebacker, Kyzir White, was very open about how intimidating Davis is, and how lucky the defense is to have him on their side.

The 6’6 tank has also spoken about a willingness to stay behind after practice with Jason Kelce and get some extra reps in, hitting the ground running.

The Eagles have a very strong defensive tackle group. Davis will be a freakish presence on the interior behind Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave, and is likely the successor to Fletch if he does leave after this season.

As the season draws nearer and nearer, excitement to see Davis rip through blocks is only growing. Fans may well get their first taste this Friday when the Eagles square off against the Jets in the preseason opener.
