The stars were out in Lehigh Valley for a new summer classic as DeVonta Smith & Friends hosted their first Celebrity softball game at Coca-Cola Park.
It was a star-packed event as DeVonta Smith was joined by teammates Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, Darius Slay, Nakobe Dean, Avonte Maddox, Boston Scott, Brandon Graham Dallas Goedert.
They were also joined by Barrett Brooks, Vinny Curry, Patrick Surtain II, Najee Harris, Greg Newsome, Micah Parsons, Mack Wilson, Justin Hardee, and many more.
The teams were divided between Team Micah Parson and Team DeVonta Smith. Jalen Hurts pitched for team smith while Curry started the game for team Parsons until he was subbed out for Terrell Edmunds after a huge Dallas Goedert home run.
Team Smith came out of the gate flying as they took a huge 6-2 lead on the backs of Avonte Maddox, who had an inside-the-park home run, and Dallas Goedert, who had a towering shot to right field.
Micah Parsons led his team back in it as he homered twice in the same inning to put his team on top 11-6. Newsome then homered in the 4th inning to extend the lead 12-6. The Boo birds were out for Cowboys LB Micah Parsons who states his day by losing to Eagles star WR A.J. Brown and was stuck out twice by Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.
In the final half of the 4th inning, both Smith and Brown were walked as Nakobe Dean headed to the plate and hit an RBI single. Followed by a base clearing ground-rule double by Avonte Maddox to bring team Smith within 3 runs. Dallas Goedert followed him with another double to bring the score to 12-10.
DeVonta Smith was next as the star of the game hit a triple to bring Goedert home. Jalen Hurts was next to bat as he launched a game-winning home run to propelled Team DeVonta Smith over Team Micah Parsons.
