With the NFL Draft in the rear-view mirror, several Eagles players sat down with reporters on Wednesday to discuss the past few weeks and what lies ahead. The trade for A.J Brown was always going to be a hot topic and one man in particular expressed excitement over his arrival.

DeVonta Smith is a bonafide stud in his own right. The Alabama product broke DeSean Jackson’s franchise record for most rookie-season receiving yards, becoming the first Eagles wideout to put up 900+ yards since Jordan Matthews in 2015. He now has a very solid running-mate in A.J Brown.

Brown has put up 2,995 receiving yards in his first three seasons in the NFL. While crossing the 1,000 mark in two of the three seasons. He’s also tallied 24 touchdowns while averaging 16.2 yards per reception.

The idea of this tandem is salivating and Smith seems to think so too.

“I’m excited. Just to learn from a guy like him. Him being here, being able to learn from him”.

He also went on to say that he texted brown the ‘eyes’ emoji, before the former Titans wideout responded ‘let’s get to work’.

The Eagles offense looks dangerous right now and both of these receivers figure to be huge catalysts in its future success.
