Charles Bassey Dominates, Blue Coats Win Season Finale

IMG_2720

The Delaware Blue Coats took care of business and then some as they toppled the Wisconsin Herd behind Charles Bassey’s unbelievable night. The game was not even as close as the final 18 point difference would indicate, as the Blue Coats held this game firmly in their hooves since the early second quarter.

The Blue Coats defeated the Herd — headlined by former Sixers Rayjon Tucker, Frank Mason III — by a score of 132-114 as they finished off the regular season the right way. There was no shortage of impressive performances tonight, from Charlie Brown Jr.’s 16 points and 13 rebounds to yet another 20+ point outing by Myles Powell but the player of tonight’s game was dominant on another level.

Blue Coats Player of the Game

Charles Bassey is the obvious choice for the Blue Coats’ Player of the Game after he dominated the Herd from the jump. Just how dominant was Bassey’s night? He finished the game with 37 points and 21 rebounds while shooting 13/16 from the field. Not only that, but Bassey boasted a +/- of +43 on the night.

Just an impressive performance by the Sixers’ rookie as he wrapped up his impressive G League season in style. All season, Bassey has proved time and time again that he has the talent to play regular minutes in the NBA. Now, all he needs is the opportunity.

On to the Playoffs

The Delaware Blue Coats have now finished the season with a record of 22-10 and will now begin the hunt to finish what they started last season and win it all.

Tuesday night will be the Blue Coats’ first playoff game; however, at the moment, the time and their opponent have not been announced. Once they are, be sure to grab a ticket to the most exciting show in Wilmington.
