The Eagles made a splash move to start free agency in signing Temple product Haason Reddick. The former Cardinal has been one of the league’s most dominant pass rushers over the last two years and is now making his return to the City of Brotherly Love. It didn’t take him long to pick out a jersey number, either:
It’s only fitting that Reddick will wear the number he donned during his time playing at the Linc as a Temple Owl.
The local boy joins Eagles greats such as Michael Vick and the greatest Eagles QB of all time, Sam Bradford.
It’s great to see Haason Reddick not only return to Philadelphia, but pick right up where he left off at Temple. On top of bringing back his infamous jersey number, he wasted little time in trying to recruit new players.
Hasaan Reddick joined Darius Slay in looking to bring Vikings CB, Patrick Peterson to Philadelphia. On NFL Network Wednesday, Peterson showed interest in coming to Philly, and it seems that those on the defense see that he still has more in the tank to help the roster.
Reddick will most likely play a hybrid role as a SAM linebacker and a defensive end. After an underwhelming first three NFL seasons from 2017-2019, he broke out for 12.5 sacks and 15 tackles for loss in 2020 with the Arizona Cardinals. He continued his stellar play coming off the edge with the Carolina Panthers in 2021 with 11 sacks and 12 tackles for loss.
