It’s been a rumor-filled Monday for the Philadelphia 76ers. The focus quickly went from that night’s game to three new potential targets.

George Hill, Delon Wright, and Trevor Ariza were all tied to the Sixers today. The team reportedly is doing its due diligence to upgrade the depth of the roster.

According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Dumas, the Sixers are in the market for a point guard. According to his source, they have already inquired about Hill and Wright.

The two guards are both two-way combo guards who could help stabilize the Sixers’ bench. Either one would make an excellent addition assuming a deal can be struck.

George Hill, in particular, would fit the Philadelphia 76ers like a glove. His near 12 points and 3 assists are encouraging but what is mouthwatering are his shooting numbers. With a 50.8 FG%, 38.6 3P%, and 84 FT%, Hill could fit perfectly alongside Ben Simmons or Shake Milton.

Delon Wright isn’t a slouch, though, either. Wright has averaged 10.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and nearly 5 assists as a starter for Detroit. His shooting numbers are quite as impressive, but they’re not bad either.

The idea that the Sixers are considering a move, especially one at guard, is an encouraging sign. It’s was made clear during their four-game Western Conference trip that the bench simply is not good enough.

That’s the big news, in much less likely news, former NBA player Matt Barnes suggested on ESPN that Trevor Ariza could be a possible bench addition for the Philadelphia 76ers. Ariza has long been a quality 3&D role player in the league and could certainly provide some experience and value to a young Sixers’ bench.

Ariza’s $12.8 Million would be difficult but not impossible for the Sixers to match. What is much more likely, is that the team would pursue Ariza if he were to be bought out by the Thunder.

The Philadelphia 76ers certainly look interested in adding a piece or two. Time will tell who they add and just how many deals they make.
