Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, you’ll know that DeSean Jackson is once again the talk of the town following some controversial Instagram posts over the 4th of July weekend.
Desean Jackson and the Eagles organization have released statements on the matter, as they work towards getting the best of a terrible situation that should’ve never seen the light of day.
After DeSean posted his video, he further released this written statement:
This post was liked by teammates such as Brandon Graham, Corey Clement, Jalen Hurts, Alshon Jeffery, Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, Greg Ward, Avonte Maddox, Marquise Goodwin, and more.
Instead of going to social media like we saw with the Drew Brees incident, Desean’s teammates have been keeping things personal, reaching out to him and engaging in conversation.
New Eagles DB Will Parks, who has been working out with Cre’von LeBlanc and Rodney McCleod over the past few days, tweeted that he and DJax had been texting about the issue together:
Further, QB Carson Wentz has reportedly reached out to Desean himself, trying to discuss the matter and understanding what exactly Desean was thinking.
Desean has worked out with Miles Sanders yesterday, posting the following video:
Miles Sanders has actively been liking and engaging with Desean’s tweets about the issue.
In an attempt to make right of an indefensible wrong situation, DeSean has worked out a meeting with Chair of the Philly Holocaust Memorial, David Adelman, in an effort to engage in conversation and learn about anti-semitism, trying to understand more about history and what has lead to the outrage.
David wrote he is “confident we can turn this into a positive together”.
What Desean Jackson did was wrong, but he is on the right track to taking on his error and learning from it in a healthy manner.
