You want the good news?! I’ll give you the good news! Oskar Lindblom is wrapping up his final stage of Ewing’s Sarcoma treatments. It’s quite an uplifting feeling and a testament to his character. The strength Lindblom has displayed off the ice to see the finish line on his treatments is downright incredible.

Since December 2019, Oskar Lindblom has been sidelined with Ewing’s Sarcoma. We keep hearing about how positive Lindblom has been through all of this from Alain Vigneault and Chuck Fletcher. His photos with Ian Laperriere warm the heart. He’s been the torch that lights the Philadelphia Flyers fire in 2019-2020. Per Assistant General Manager, Brent Flahr, Lindblom is going through his final treatments.

“Oskar’s going through his last treatments coming up here, but everything I’ve been told from Jimmy (McCrossin, the team’s trainer) has been very positive. He feels great, considering the condition he’s in. He’s such a great kid and he’s determined. His focus is to play as soon as possible.”

His status is unknown for next year, but this is amazing to hear about such a resilient human being. Oskar Lindblom has been doing some cardio during this whole process. It sounds like this whole treatment and recovery couldn’t have gone any smoother. The Philadelphia Flyers look forward to having Lindblom back in any way possible. Through all of this, the continued support from anyone associated with the Philadelphia Flyers and the NHL has been wonderful.
