In the early hours of Thursday morning, Big Play Slay’s fate was sealed. He was shipped to Philadelphia in a trade for a pair of draft picks, where he would sign a 3-year contract extension to become the highest-paid CB in the league.
Slay took to Instagram several hours later to bid one fond farewell to the Motor City and raise the heart-rate of every Eagles fan in existence.

Slay’s new contract is worth $50M over 3-years, with $30M guaranteed. It’s not yet known when he’ll arrive in Philadelphia due to the recent outbreak of the coronavirus and all safety precautions being taken, but it’s officially Slay Day in Philadelphia.
