If you’ve made it past the headline, you’ve read correctly. Travis Konecny has been named to the 2020 NHL All-Star game.

Travis Konecny is the sole representative of the orange and black so far. This will be his first appearance at the All-Star festivities, and hopefully the first of many. He is in the midst of a career season, nearly catching his previous season totals through the halfway mark of this one.

In 36 games played, Konecny has registered 34 points (11g, 23a). He currently leads the Flyers in points. Last season, TK finished the year with 49 points (24g, 25a), and had 47 points (24g, 23a) the previous year.

The 2020 Honda NHL All-Star weekend takes place the weekend of January 24th at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, home of the Blues. Each division in the NHL will ice a 3-on-3 team, and compete for division supremacy. Each team will consist of 11 players (six forwards, three defensemen, two goalies).

The skills competition begins the Friday, the 24th, at 8:00 P.M., while the All-Star game itself will be the following night at the same time. Skills competitions are on NBCSN and the All-Star game will be on NBC.
