The future stars of the National Lacrosee League would find their new home as the 2019 NLL Draft took place from Philadelphia on Tuesday night. This is the second year in row that the draft was held in Philadelphia.
The new teams that will be in the NLL for the 2019-20 season are New York, Halifax & Rochester.
NLL Commissioner Nick Sakiewicz would say the following to start the draft “The NLL Draft is an exciting night for our league, and we are proud to welcome all of the players in tonight’s draft into our lacrosse family, We can’t wait for Face Off Weekend for the first chance to see these talented new players in action.”
New York had the number1 pick and they would select Tyson Gibson from Robert Morris. After being selcted, Gibson would say that it had not sunk in that he was the number 1 overall pick in the Draft

Second round- Alex Pace, Brock University, Forward/Transition
Second round- Matt Marinier, Burlington Chiefs Jr. A, Defense
Third Round- Pat Spencer, Loyola University, Forward
Fourth Round- Kyle Marr, Johns Hopkins University, Forward
Fourth Round- Dave Smith, University of Virginia, Transition/Defense
Fifth Round- Jordan Krug, Cabrini University, Forward
Sixth Round- Austin Fusco, Syracuse University, Defense
