Sam Davis is a 2020 3-Star offensive guard who plays for Geneva high school in Geneva, Ohio. He is a 6-3 263 powerful bruiser that knocks defenders off their feet. I had a talk with him about his recruitment and interests for Philly Sports Network.

LJ: What schools are recruiting you the most?

Sam: Ohio, Rutgers, and Temple.

LJ: What are your top schools at this time?

Sam: Some schools that have stuck out in ways are Cincinnati, Ohio, Rutgers, and Temple.

LJ: Who hasn’t offered but continues to recruit?

Sam: Michigan State, Indiana, and Vanderbilt.

LJ: When do you plan to visit Temple?

Sam: I have visited twice already but I hope to visit one more time in the summer before I take an official in the fall.

LJ: What other visits do you have coming up?

Sam: I only have an official visit to Ohio planned. I’m enjoying my summer with friends and family and trying to take the least amount of visits I can and just sit back and watch things play out and let it work itself out.

LJ: What do most coaches like about you?

Sam: Coaches believe in me as a player because of my speed and size as well as how I play the game with aggression and finish blocks.

LJ: What do you like about Temple? Do you plan to visit? When?

Sam: I think the coaches are a major part in Temple being a top school. They are all great guys and I talk with them at least twice a week on the phone as well as text/calls with Coach Carey very often.

LJ: When do you plan to make your decision on a college to go to?

Sam: I am hoping to before the start of the season but if I feel it is not a good time to and the school isn’t there I will not.
