LaSalle comes into the game with 3-12, 1-2 in A-10 and off a bad loss to Saint Louis on January 12 while George Washington heads into battle with the Explorers at 5-11 1-2 in A-10 and off a win over Richmond also on January 12.

This would be a very low scoring first half as both teams would have their chances to score and just could not finish. LaSalle would take a 23-14 lead into halftime.
In the Second Half, George Washington would get on a run and they cut the Explorers lead down to 2 but LaSalle would answer back. both teams would on a stretch where they would match the other one’s baskets. LaSalle David Beatty would have a Sportscenter Top 10 DUNK
